Liz Adams RGN and Clinical Sports Massage Therapist

Liz Adams has been involved in the health and fitness industries for over 30 years. She trained first as a nurse in Australia before going on to study anatomy and physiology and human movement at Queensland University.
Since then she has worked as a gym and aerobics instructor in various places including Leicester. Her interest in muscle function led her to train in clinical sports massage and injury rehabilitation therapy in Birmingham in 1996 with Active Associates Foundation.
In recent years Liz has worked part time as a practice nurse which has helped to re-affirm her commitment to patient centred holistic care. She now works providing sports massage, health screening/health promotion and exercise advice, thereby uniting all the areas of special interest and skills acquired over the years.
Liz has found that massage, at the depth appropriate for the individual, can have enormous benefits for people with injuries, stress, tension, tight muscles, headaches, arthritis or just as a method of relaxing and promoting good muscle function. Used in tandem with other therapies, when indicated, the results can be astounding.
To promote best results Liz often prescribes stretching or strengthening exercises. Instruction is given during a session so exercises can be done safely at home.
If you have been advised to have deep massage by another therapist or a GP, or if you simply think it would benefit you, Liz looks forward to meeting and working with you.

Homeopath
I discovered the effectiveness of homeopathy when my son was a baby suffering from severe eczema. Following treatment from a homeopath, his eczema cleared up within six months and has never returned (he’s now 14).
I gradually changed the way I thought about health and illness, and decided to give up my career in journalism and become a homeopath.
I went on to study at the School of Homeopathy in Devon, the longest established in the UK, where I was lucky enough to experience the teachings of some of the country’s leading homeopaths. I was awarded my diploma in June 2005.
I’m a classical homeopath offering treatment which not only adheres to the philosophical foundations of homeopathy, but which also incorporates exciting new developments and methods which help get to the very roots of illness.
My aim is to permanently restore the health of my patients by stimulating their own healing processes, using single remedies at the minimum dose required.
Homeopathy is suitable for people of all ages, including babies and pregnant women.
I am registered and fully insured with the Society of Homeopaths (www.homeopathy-soh.org) and am committed to high standards of professionalism.

Wendy Dunning - Qualified Lecturer, Reiki & Seichem Master Healer, NLP Master Practioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
I began my own emotional healing training when studying Counselling at Vaughan College in Leicester. Like many people going to study this subject, I was drawn there by a wish to understand more about others, and a need to understand myself and my reactions to my own past experiences.
As I learnt about emotional healing I gained more understanding of other people’s reactions to stress, loss and trauma in their lives.
By allowing my clients to explore their past I began to help them to release fear, anger and resentment. Giving them more control over their own lives and helping them to begin to look forward, towards a brighter future.
I have been teaching and practicing Reiki & Seichem for over 12 years and enjoy the quiet peaceful loving energy it brings me into contact with. It is more than what I do – it part of who I am.
I have now trained as an NLP Master Practitioner - this has a lovely philosophy of acceptance of others and self behind it and allows me to use tools for emotional healing that are really powerful.

Over 11 years later I have built up a thriving business helping people with a wide variety of health problems. In the intervening years I have also qualified in Injury Prevention Massage and this year learnt the exciting new technique of Lava Shell Massage.
